The throughput of the pcie x1 slot depends on the pcie generation. There are three possible culprits.

January 2020 in aspire, veriton and revo desktops. The x1 slot has a pcie 2.0 hard drive controller. I moved it to a x16 slot and it worked and i have since moved it to the top x1 slot above my gpu and it works in that one.

If you have windows errors then it's highly recommended that you download and install this windows repair tool.
